Return To Vendor Setup and Configuration

Before utilizing the Return To Vendor feature, administrators must set up the configurations along with the necessary triggers occurring.

The following is the basic life cycle of a Return To Vendor, particularly the setup and configuration:

• The listed switches configure some of the most broad features that affect Return To Vendor management. For more information, refer to the following switches:
  • DISABLERTV
  • INVCURO
  • NTLINKGR

Note: Other Switches that affect the Return To Vendor functionality will be mentioned throughout this process. For more information on all available switches, refer to the Inventory Switches Manual.

• The following Master data and information must be set up and active for the Return To Vendor process:
  • Vendor
• The following actions are the triggers behind a Return To Vendor being conducted:
  • Purchase Order
  • Order Receiving
  • Part received for the P/O is damaged or incorrect

Once all of these configurations have been set up, users can begin the Return To Vendor Utilization.
