This option is security controlled via Security Explorer/ Settings/ Explorer/ System Transaction Code/ Quotes Subject Phrase. For additional information, refer to the Security Explorer via the System Administration Training Manual.

Users can send a quote request by selecting the Send via Email or Spec2kbutton in the Quote Request print window, which will redirect them to the Vendors Emails window.

This window allows users to customize the e-mail that will be sent out by the system.

The following information/options are available in this window:

Vendor

The system code for the service/part provider.

Name

The official company name of the Vendor.

Relation Contact

The Main Contact that has been specified for the Vendor. For more information, refer to Vendor Master, Mailing Address Tab.

Spec 2K Capability checkbox

This checkbox is informational only. If the selected Vendor is configured for Spec2000, the checkbox will be selected. To configure a Vendor for Spec2000 capability, refer to Vendor Master, Spec 2000 Tab.

Spec 2K / Email radio buttons

Determines whether the request will be sent via Email or Spec2k.

E-mail address

Determines the recipient of the email.

Note: Users can select from existing email address Transaction Codes to populate this field. These are set up via System Tran Code Explorer/ Requisition/ Quotes Sender Email. The option to create new Quotes Sender Email Tran Codes is security controlled via Security Explorer/ Settings/ Explorer/ System Transaction Code/ Quotes Sender email. For additional information, refer to the Security Explorer via the System Administration Training Manual.

Mail Subject

Determines the text that will be displayed in the Subject line of the email.

Mail Message

Determines the body text of the email.
