Engineering Control Linking and Compliance

After an Engineering Control has been created, it is ready to be linked to an order. The type of order to which the E/C will be linked depends on if the created E/C is an A/C E/C or P/N E/C.

Upon the closing of the order the E/C has been linked to, Engineering Compliance is necessary to terminate the E/C. Typically, this is automatically done through the closing of the order; however, compliance can be manually completed, too. Therefore, the user must determine if Compliance has been completed through the closing of an order.

The following is the basic life cycle of an Engineering Control, from the linking of the E/C to an order to the Engineering Control Compliance:

Engineering Controls Process Swim Lane 5

Once the E/C has been linked to an order and Engineering Control Compliance has been created, the Engineering Control Process is complete.
