Cost Limit or Authorization Steps?Cost Limit: Authorization required for Orders (like Requisitions) could be set up to based on an authorized cost limit per each user in TRAX. If the cost of the order is below the limit specified for the logged in user, then they can authorize the order on their own; but if the cost of the order is greater than the user's cost limit, then the order must be authorized by a user with an adequate limit. These limits are set up through the Authorization window via the Settings module. Authorization Steps: Authorization can be defined through steps in which different departments or authorization groups will need to approve of the order before finally being authorized and sent to the Vendor. This option is set up through the Order Type transaction code. For more information refer to Defining the Order Authorization Steps. For more detailed information on the entire Authorization process, refer to the Authorization Process Flow.
