APU Setup and Configuration

Before creating P/N APUs, administrators must set up the appropriate configurations.

The following is the basic life cycle of the APU Process, particularly the setup and configuration:

• The listed switches configure some of the most broad features that affect APU management. For more information, refer to the following switches:
  • APUMEAN
  • APUHRVALIDATION
  • APUREAD

Note: Other Switches that affect APUs will be mentioned throughout this process. For more information on all available switches, refer to the Technical Records Switches Manual.

• The following action must be conducted before the P/N can be created as an APU and its Reading can be updated and utilized:
  • Part Number Creation

Once all of these configurations have been set up, users can begin the P/N APU Creation and Reading.
