Select this checkbox to load any association to Interchangeable parts for the part to which the import is being conducted. If the part exists in TRAX as a both-way interchangeable to Main relationship, but the AIPC manual states that the relationship should be one-way interchangeable to Main (or vice-versa), no changes will occur in TRAX, however a warning message will appear at the end of the import to notify the user of the interchangeable relationship between the P/Ns as in the AIPC.
Boeing Interchangeability Boeing Interchangeability from IPC creates Both-Way interchangeables only. The SGML does not provides any other configuration details. If P/Ns that are being loaded through the IPC Load are already defined as Main P/Ns in the P/N Master, these part numbers will not be changed to Both-Way Interchangeable parts. This will be noted in the Errors and Warnings tab. See the following example. Three parts (2-01027-8W, 31875-8W, 4671097W8) were loaded against the Main P/N (35056GV08) as both-way interchangeable parts.
Boeing SGML:
Bombardier Interchangeability Bombardier Interchangeability from IPC designates Both-Way and One-Way Interchangeable parts depending on the INC Code, however Trax creates One-Way forward interchangeables only, due to the Bombardier SGML Design. If the system recognizes that any part numbers that were created via the IPC Load are Both-Way Interchangeable, Trax will create a One-Way forward loop. See the following example: Note the One-Way forward loop with the following interchangeable part numbers.
