ROS messages are tied to Repair Orders and their invoices. The messages are stored in the TRAX database so they can be viewed through TRAX. Some of these message types have additional functions.

The ROS button allows users to view the list of ROS (Repair Order Service) message or the contents of those messages.

Note: The ROS button will only appear in the Repair Order Detail window if a Repair or Exchange Order has been sent successfully.

The ROS button will only appear in the Repair Order window if the .xml file is uploaded to the ROS via the ROS Button in the Company Profile. This is an Interface related functionality. For additional information, refer to your TRAX Interface department.

From the Repair Order Detail, General tab, select the ROS button.

TRAX displays the ROS Message List window:

The user can also send an ROS_ORDER_REQUEST by selecting the Inquiry button.

Note: The Inquiry button is only visible if the ROS_ORDER_REQUEST checkbox is selected in the Vendor Master, ROS Tab via the Vendor Master and if a ROS_ORDER message has been sent.
