11 - G/L Interface Switches

COMPANYMULTIFR

When set to Yes, the Company field is displayed in the System Forms revision window and functions in conjunction with the Company field designated at the User profile level. The specified form with the designated Company and Form Revision Number entered will display the revision number on the print.

When set to No, the Company field is not available and the Form Revision Number will not display on the print.

Note: This switch works with switch COMPANYMULTI. For more information refer to switch COMPANYMULTI located in the G/L Interface Switches Manual.

FAINVCOSTBALADJ

When set to Yes, a TRAX Database Job will automatically run the following Month End Closing financial procedures on the last day of the month at 22:00: first the Fixed Asset Depreciation, followed by the Inventory and Costing Balance Adjustment.

When set to No, a TRAX Database Job will not be run automatically for the Month End Closing procedures. This process will have to be run manually.

Note: For the job to be removed from or added to the Database Jobs window, all jobs must be stopped then restarted manually. To do so, after the switch setting has been changed, select the Stop All Jobs button then the Restart All Jobs button.

FAIMAINREPORT

When there is a transaction in the system that will impact a Fixed Asset (i.e Sales Order), the actual Serial Number that is issued out will be reflected in the Fixed Asset Registry tables. The reports will only display the Main P/N, and not the actual issued P/N. The Fixed Asset Registry tables will maintain a one-to-one relationship between Fixed Assets and Inventory Detail.

Note: This switch does not have Yes/No functionality.

Note: Switch FAMAIN must be set to No for switch FAMIANREPORT to function correctly.

FAVALUEZERO

When set to Yes, TRAX will validate the amount entered in the switch's Config Number field and either set the Fixed Asset in the Fixed Asset Registry to zero if a part is ordered with a Unit Cost less than Config Number or set the Fixed Asset to that of the part's Unit Cost if greater than the Config Number. Additionally, if the part's Unit Cost is less than the Config Number, but the part's Invoice Amount is greater than the Config Number, the Fixed Asset will be updated to reflect the Invoice Amount. Additionally, if the part's Unit Cost is less than the Config Number, but the part's Invoice Amount is greater than the Config Number, the Fixed Asset will be updated to reflect the Invoice Amount.

Note: Along with a P/O, the effects of this switch can be seen with a P/N Initial Load.

When set to No, TRAX will not validate the amount entered in the Config Number field and will set the Fixed Asset Amounts in the Depreciation tab of the Fixed Asset Registry to the part's Unit Cost, even if less than the Config Number.

GLELODIE

This switch configures the Invoice Transfer to A/P functionality. The Config Other field is used to route the exported invoice transfer files.

Note 1: This switch is part of a customized interface configuration and is not applicable for all users.

Note 2: This switch does not have Yes/No functionality.

GLFIFO

When an NLA is removed from an assembly and a new NLA is installed onto the same assembly, the system will swap the Fixed Asset from the new NLA and apply it to the component that was removed and returned to inventory.

Note: This switch is not new in TRAX Version 11.

Note: This functionality also works for Third Party Work Order.
