Planning P/N Controls for HelicoptersThe Formulas created in the Settings module can be applied to P/N Controls for parts that are installed on Helicopter Aircraft. These P/N Controls can then track component schedules based on these customized Helicopter formulas. Once flight times are accumulated for the components/helicopter, the Planning Query accounts for these customized P/N Controls and updates the component's scheduled dates and Due Dates accordingly. For example, two Formulas were created that will measure installed components' usages. The first formula example is 'Low_Fatigue.'
The second formula is 'EngRec_LCF1'. (Notice that this formula is made up of the LCF1 formula and the K Factors below).
For more information refer to the Formulas window in the Settings Training Manual. Now these formulas must be linked to P/N Controls which will track specific Helicopter components. The 'Low_Fatigue' formula was linked to a P/N Control called 'LCF'.
The 'EngRec_LCF1' formula was linked to a P/N Control called 'ENGR_LCF'.
The following part is an Engine NHA component that will be tracked along with the K Factors in the P/N Master, Technical Engineering tab.
This NHA part is linked to the above P/N Controls that are linked to the formulas. P/N Control 'LCF' has a schedule for formula 'Low_Fatigue'.
P/N Control 'ENGR_LCF' has a schedule for formula 'EngRec_LCF1'.
Now notice that the NHA component contains an NLA.
This NLA part is a Recorder. This indicates that the engine contains a Recorder which has information that can be tracked. Parts with this selection can be tracked via the P/N Engine Recorder Reading window via Technical Records.
The following Recorder information was configured for this Recorder NLA via the P/N Engine Recorder Reading window. (The Formula 'LCF1' from above corresponds to the Low Cycle Fatigue1 field in this window.)
The following A/C Schedule Flight Mean times were defined for the Helicopter Aircraft via the A/C Schedule Flight window. This will help determine the Remaining schedule once the Planning Query is run.
The following flight was scheduled to take place after the P/N Controls' Reset Date via the A/C Actual Flights window.
The actual flights are then closed via A/C Actuals Flights Closing.
The Planning Query is then run for the P/N Controls for the NHA component and the Helicopter Aircraft that it's installed on.
In the Planning Results window, notice that the schedules for each P/N Control have been calculated based on the Formulas for each control and the Flight times accumulated.
