Adding a P/N Control

P/N Controls are set up in the Settings module via the P/N Master and are to provide the means of keeping track of component times. Within the system, there is no limit to the number of controls a user can set up, each with its own hard limits.

The P/N Control button allows users to set multiple Time Controls on parts. These Time Controls will apply to each individual unit for the P/N on the system. Time Since New, Time Before Overhaul, Time Since Last Visit, Scrap Life, Weight Check, etc., can all be applied to the P/N. The applicable Time Controls can be set-up in the System Transaction Code option. The system will track each control from setup. When a part is received into the system, these Time Controls will be available for update.

The below process has been created to assist in the creation of a P/N Control.

Is the P/N Control specific to a Position?

Is the P/N Control specific for parts that are installed on an NHA?

Is the P/N Control specific to an NLA installed on a specific position?

Will the Control be tracked in Hours?

Are the Hours going to be tracked in flight Hours or Calendar Hours?

Do you want to apply flight Cycles to the Control?

Will the Control be tracked in Days?

Are the Days going to be tracked in flight Days, or Calendar Days?

Do you want to apply a Date Control to the time Control?

Do you want the hours, cycles or days information to appear on certain prints?

Do you want to track tire removal information?

Will an alternative schedule apply for an aging A/C?

Do you want to link the P/N Control to a Shop E/C?

Do you want to associate a T/C or E/C to a W/O when a P/N Control is linked to that W/O?

Can the Control be reset on a Repair Order? via Adding a P/N Control

Can the Control be automatically reset when associated to a Repair Order? via Adding a P/N Control

Do you want the updates of this Control to cascade to P/Ns that exist in inventory?

Do you want the P/N Control information to auto print when the P/N is on a Repair Order?
