Concession Setup and Configuration

Before creating Concessions, administrators must set up the security, authorization, and revision configurations.

The following is the basic life cycle of a Concession Registry, particularly the setup and configuration:

• The listed switches configure some of the most broad features that affect Concession management. For more information, refer to the following switches:
  • BLKCONSAVE
  • DEFDESCTOCREG
  • DEFPNAVAIL
  • REQCONAUTH
  • QAAUTHREQ
• The following Transaction Codes in particular must be set up for the Concession Registry process:
  • Concession Authorization Group
  • Concession By
  • Concession Reason Category

Note: Other Switches and Transaction Codes that affect Concession Registry will be mentioned throughout this process. For more information on all available switches, refer to the Technical Records Switches and/or Transaction Codes Manual(s).

• Depending on the user's company's operating procedures, along with the configuration of Switch REQCONAUTH being set to Yes, the Concession Registry requires an authorization process to be completed. For more information, refer to the Authorization Process and the Concession Authorization Group Explorer and Concession Authorization Explorer.

Once all of these configurations have been set up, users can begin the Concession Creation.
