This Display By Area gives a graphic overview of all planned events including scheduled flights and Work Orders.
The following information/options are available in this window: Red Vertical Line Current date visual marker. Different Location The yellow icon at the beginning of a Work Order indicates that the Work Order is in a different location than the scheduled flight. (i.e. The inbound flight is to MIA, but the Work Order is scheduled to take place in MCO). Work Order Node
The different colored Work Orders indicate the type of Work Order Category (i.e. Line, Heavy Maintenance, etc.) This can be set up via Settings/Explorer/System Transaction Code Explorer/Production/W/O Category. The color assigned to each Work Order category will be the color displayed in the Display By Area. The aircraft tail number appears prior to the description of the Work Order and Work Order number. The Work Order Node is represented by a six digit Work Order number and a Work Order description note that is defined in the Selected Work Order Area, Work Order tab. If a Work Order is scheduled after a flight, the Location of the Work Order will automatically default to the destination of the flight. If a Work Order is scheduled in between two flights, the Location of the Work Order will automatically default to the destination of the previous flight. Other descriptive information regarding the Work Order can be found, on or around the Work Order node such as: Work Order reference: 782182 Work Order Description - WEEKLY CHECK Start - Completion Time - 10:01am-13:41pm Location - BOS For more information refer to the Selected Work Order Area, Work Order tab section via the Planning Training Manual. To view additional W/O information e.g., A/C tail number, A/C S/N, start and completion dates, etc., select the Hyper Text button via the Interactive Planner Buttons section. Note:A yellow bar atop the Work Order Node represents the interval between the Actual Start Date and Actual Completion Date of the W/O. Upon the initial creation of the W/O, these have the same respective values as the Scheduled Start Date and Scheduled Completion Date. Work Order Node (Blue)
Work Order nodes that appear blue in color identify Work Orders that are in POSTCOMPLETE Status. Operators can elect to view all Work Orders in POSTCOMPLETE status y selecting the W/O Post Complete Button. Work Order Node (outlined in red)
Work Order nodes that are outlined in red with a white 'X' indicate that at least one of the items E/Cs is overdue. Work Order Node (outlined in yellow)
Work Order nodes that are outlined in yellow with a Yield icon indicate that at least one of the item's E/Cs is coming due within 2 days at a minimum. Black Flight Node
A black colored flight node indicates that a flight has been scheduled. The flight node includes information about the flight such as: Flight Number: 456-1 Flight Origin/Flight Destination - JFK to LGA Schedule Departure/Schedule Destination - 7:00am to 11:00am Flight Duration - 4hrs Red Flight Node
A red colored flight node indicates that the Work Order is in a different location than the scheduled flight. (i.e. The inbound flight is to MIA, but the Work Order is scheduled to take place in MCO). For example, the following Work Order is scheduled to take place in LGA, therefore the flight directly after this Work Order is departing from LGA.
The Location of the Work Order is manually changed from LGA to FLL, and the tab has been refreshed. The Work Order location can also be changed by dragging and dropping the Work Order node to a different location.
The next flight after the Work Order changes color from black to red indicating to the planner that there is a discrepancy between the Work Order location and the next departure flight location. The same logic will apply if the Work Order is at the same location as the flight arrival location.
