Scrap Setup and Configuration

Before conducting a Scrap, administrators must set up the security and revision configurations.

The following is the basic life cycle of a Scrap, particularly the setup and configuration:

• The following Transaction Code must be set up for the Scrap process:
  • Scrap Code
• The listed switches configure some of the features that affect Scrap management. For more information, refer to the following switches:
  • FAZERO
  • SCRAP4RO
  • RECSCRAP
  • SCRAP/AUTHORIZATION

Note: Other switches that affect Scraps will be mentioned throughout this process. For more information on all switches, refer to the Inventory Switches Manual.

• Before conducting Scraps, administrators must set up the security.
  • Inventory / Update / Inventory Transaction / Scrap
• Depending on the user's company's operating procedures and configuration of Switch SCRAP/AUTHORIZATION, the Scrap requires an Authorization process to be completed. For more information, refer to the Scrap Code Trans Code and Scrap Authorization Explorer.

Once all of these configurations have been set up, users can begin the Scrap Process.
