Transfer Order Setup and Configuration

Before creating Transfer Orders, administrators must set up the security, authorization, and configurations.

The following is the basic life cycle of a Transfer Order, particularly the setup and configuration:

• The following Transaction Codes in particular must be set up for the Transfer Order Process:
  • Order Category
  • Order Type
  • Priority
• The listed switches configure some of the most broad features that affect Transfer Order management. For more information, refer to the following switches:
  • DONTASKCREATETRANORD
  • TOREQRQ
  • TORIDEF
  • TPTOPRINT

Note: Other Switches and Transaction Codes that affect Transfer Orders will be mentioned throughout this process. For more information on all available switches, refer to the Orders Switches Manual.

• Depending on the user's company's operating procedures, Transfer Orders require and Authorization process to be completed. For more information, refer to the Authorization Process and the Order Authorization Explorer.

Once all of these configurations have been set up, users can begin the Transfer Order Creation.
