Kit Management Setup and Configuration

Before creating Kits, administrators must set up the configurations and understand the triggers that can play a role in Kit Management.

The following is the basic life cycle of the Kit Management, particularly the setup and configuration:

• The following Switch and Transaction Codes in particular must be set up for Kit Management:
  • BINCATLINKPNCAT
  • Bin Category
  • P/N Category

Note: Other Switches and Transaction Codes that affect Kit Management will be mentioned throughout this process. For more information on all available switches, refer to the Inventory Switches Manual and/or Inventory Transaction Codes Manual.

• The following triggers can play a role in the Kit Management:
  • P/N Creation
  • Purchase Order
  • Order Receiving
  • Picklist Creation

Once all of these configurations have been set up, users can begin Kit Creation and Build.
