Default X/O's Exchange Fee, R/N's Unit Cost, and S/O's Unit Cost

Note: Regardless of switch setting, users can manually override an X/O's Exchange Fee, a R/N's Unit Cost, and a S/O's Unit Cost.

Switch Set to Yes:

YES Scenario 1: X/O and R/N

When set to Yes, and the Config Other field is populated with a Condition Code, an X/O's Exchange Fee defaults to the value populated in the Condition code's XO Exchange Fee Percent multiplied by the value populated in the part's Unit Sell field (via the P/N Sell button). Likewise, with the same switch configuration, a R/N's Unit Cost defaults to the value populated in the Condition code's RN Unit Cost Percent multiplied by the value populated in the part's Unit Sell field.

The NEW Condition Code has an XO Exchange Fee Percent of 50.00.

Note: The Condition Code can be found via General System Transaction Codes.

The following part has a Unit Sell price of 500.00.

Note: By default, the system will always use the Unit Sell for Condition NEW, even if there are multiple Conditions associated to the specified P/N for Exchange Orders and Rental Orders.

An Exchange Order Out is created with P/N DK120-090. When the Condition 'NEW' is selected, the Exchange Fee auto populates to 250.00 (500.00 X 0.50 = 250.00).

Note: If the part Condition indicated in the X/O does not have a Unit Sell price, then the X/O Exchange Fee Percent in the Condition tran code will not be applied to the X/O's Exchange Fee. Instead the Exchange Fee will have to be input manually.

Note: The same functionality is applicable for the tran code's RN Unit Cost Percent field.

YES Scenario 2: X/O and R/N (without Config Other value)

When set to Yes, and the Config Other field is not populated with a Condition Code, an X/O's Exchange Fee defaults to the Average Cost of the part (P/N Master, Costing tab). Likewise, with the same switch configuration, a R/N's Unit Cost defaults to the Average Cost of the part.

The NEW Condition Code has an XO Exchange Fee Percent of 50.00.

The Part has an Average Code of 329.7300.

The system disregards the XO Exchange Fee Percent (via System Transaction Code/ General/ Condition Code) and the Exchange Fee is taken from the Average Cost of the part.

YES Scenario 3: S/O

When set to Yes, an S/O's Unit Cost is defaulted based on the Condition tran code's S/O Unit Cost Percent and the part's Unit Sell price. The part's Unit Sell price must have a Condition NEW value; the switch's Config Other field is not validated.

Note: The Config Other field is not validated for this scenario.

Condition 'MOD' has a S/O Unit Cost Percent of 85.

From the P/N Sell for the following part, the following part has a Unit Sell of '6,000' for Condition 'NEW.'

Note: The P/N Sell must have a Condition 'NEW' sell value in order for this functionality to work. The Condition tran code's S/O Unit Cost Percent field will be calculated against this 'NEW' part's Unit Sell price.

A Customer Order is then created for a customer.

Once the P/N, Required Date, and Condition ('MOD') are entered, the Unit Cost of the part is calculated based on the part's Condition 'NEW' sell price and Condition 'MOD's' S/O Unit Cost Percentage.

Note: If the part does not have a Unit Sell for Condition NEW, the S/O's Unit Cost will be populated with the part's Average Cost. The tran code's S/O Unit Cost Percentage will not be applied.

Note: If the Customer has a S/O Default Markup percentage input via the Customer Master, Sell/Rental tab, that percentage will also be applied to the defaulted value of the S/O's Unit Cost.

Switch Set to No:

NO Scenario 1: X/O and R/N

When set to No, the X/O's Exchange Fee and R/N's Rental Fee will be taken from the full amount of the Unit Sell amount. The Exchange Fee is not dependent on the XO Exchange Fee Percent established (via System Transaction Code/ General/ Condition Code). The switch's Config Other field is not validated.

The NEW Condition Code has an XO Exchange Fee Percent of 50.00.

The following part has a Unit Sell price of 500.00.

When an Exchange Order Out is created, and the Condition is NEW, the Exchange Fee is taken from the full amount of the Unit Sell amount: 500.00.

NO Scenario 2: S/O

When set to No, an S/O's Unit Cost is defaulted based on the Condition tran code's S/O Unit Cost Percent for Condition NEW and the part's Unit Sell price; the switch's Config Other field is not validated.

The following part has a Unit Sell price of 500.00 for Condition NEW, and 300.00 for Condition MOD.

The NEW Condition Code has a S/O Unit Cost Percent of 100.00.

The MOD Condition Code has an XO Exchange Fee Percent of 85.00.

When a Sales Order is created, and the Condition is NEW, the Unit Cost is taken from 100% (Condition NEW tran code) of the Unit Sell Amount for Condition NEW : 500.00.

When a Sales Order is created, and the Condition is MOD, the Unit Cost is taken from 100% (Condition NEW tran code) of the Unit Sell amount for Condition MOD: 300.00.
