Task Card Discrepancy Setup and Configuration

Before creating and utilizing Task Card Discrepancies, administrators must set up the authorization configurations and conduct certain actions for the T/C Discrepancy to be necessary.

The following is the basic life cycle of a Task Card Discrepancy, particularly the setup and configuration:

• The listed Switch and Transaction Code configures the Authorization feature for the Task Card Discrepancy:
  • TCDISCAUTH
  • Reason Category
  • Task Card Discrepancy Authorization Group
  • Depending on the user's company's operating procedures, Task Card Discrepancies require Authorization by an individual or a group. For more information, refer to the Authorization Process, the Task Card Discrepancy Authorization Explorer, and the Task Card Discrepancy Authorization Group Explorer.

Note: Other Switches and Transaction Codes that affect Task Card Discrepancies will be mentioned throughout this process. For more information on all available switches, refer to the Engineering Switches Manual and/or Engineering Transaction Codes Manual.

• Before the Task Card Discrepancy feature can be utilized, the Work Order Task Card for which there is a Discrepancy must be closed. For more information, refer to the Work Order Process.

Once all of these configurations have been set up and the necessary actions have been conducted, users can begin the Task Card Discrepancy Utilization.
