If any problems occurred while working with the Task Card, a Task Card discrepancy can be created. The discrepancy will then be displayed in the Engineering department in order to find a resolution to the problem. After the Engineering Department entered a resolution, it will be displayed in Production/ Update/ Work Order Task Card Discrepancy Close.

In order to enter a discrepancy, select the W/O Task Card Discrepancy button. The following W/O Task Card/Defect Engineering Request window pops up.

The following information/options are available in this window:

A/C

The individual aircraft tail number.

W/O

The Work Order used to categorize, manage, and schedule work requirements for aircraft maintenance.

E/C

The Engineering Control that specifies aircraft or component scheduled maintenance intervals.

P/N

The Part Number reference for the aircraft part.

S/N

The Serial Number for the specific serialized part.

Task Card

The Task Card / Job Card that details the scheduled maintenance work.

Module

The module that the problem was recorded in.

Location

The Location for maintenance events, inventory stores, orders, transactions, or training events.

Description

The description of the Task Card.

Status

The status of the Task Card discrepancy (auto-populated).

Assigned to

Enter the user who the discrepancy is to be assigned to.

Date Assigned

Enter the date when the discrepancy is assigned to the user.

Category

Select a discrepancy category from the list. (Trans Code WO/TC/DISP)

Close Date

Date when the discrepancy is closed.

Reason

Enter a reason for the discrepancy.

In the User Notification tab, set up the user that is to be notified either by TRAX Internal Note, email or SMS Text Msg:

Select the Re-Send W/O Task Card Discrepancy Notifications button to send the notification to the specified user(s).

Users can then email or print this notification.
