TRAX Database Jobs - Job Types

Trax Database Jobs

The following are the type of jobs listed in the TRAX Database Jobs window. Each job type is divided by the frequency in which it is run (i.e. every 1 minute, 10 minutes, 30 minutes or daily). Each job contains a description in the window of what they do. The jobs and the descriptions of what they do are listed below:

TRAX_01_DAY - These jobs run every day at 3am – The purpose of these jobs are to do the following:

Send EC/TC Notifications
Task Card Index – Optimizes and Syncs all indexes on Task Cards Blobs & Text.
TraxDoc Content Index - Optimizes and Syncs all indexes in TraxDoc Content and Revisions (ie. AMP, AMM, etc.).
Delete Flight Schedule for previous day. This is only for Customer Profile ACA.
Delete Old Planning History more than 2 days old.

CANCEL_SUPERSEDED_EC_BY_DATE	SUPERECCCANCEL	PKG_ENGINEERING_FUNCTION.CANCEL_SUPERSEDED_BY_EC;	Cancels all open EO that have been superseded on a Date less than today. - Sets the status to 'Cancel for those E/Cs with a status of 'Open' or 'APLNOTBODY' in the following tables: ENGINEERING_EFFECTIVITY, ENGINEERING_EFFECTIVITY_RV, ENGINEERING_ORDER and ENGINEERING_ORDER_RV	Version 11 driven by new functionality
CHECK_ORDER_CONTROL	Automated	PKG_NVO_ORDER.CHECK_ORDER_CONTROL;	Restores order controls that go missing during R/O creation/modification. Note: This is a customized modification and may not be available for your company. For additional information, refer to your Trax Administrator.	Changes made in Version 12.5 to improve performance.
CLEANUP_IN_USE	Automated	PKG_CLEANUP.CLEANUP;	- Cleans up IN USE fields in Trax for the following tables: ORDER_HEADER, ORDER_DETAIL, TRAINING_SCHOOL, WO_TASK_CARD_ITEM, AC_CONTROLLER_PANEL, PN_INVENTORY_DETAIL, ORDER_INVOICE_HEADER, DEFECT_REPORT and PICKLIST_HEADER.

FIND_EC_LOOPS	Automated	PKG_ENGINEERING_FUNCTION.FIND_EC_LOOPS	Job to find E/C schedule Control loops. the procedure is to detect loops found in the ENGINEERING_SCHEDULE_CONTROL table. These results will be stored in the ENGINEERING_SCHEDULE_CTR_LOOP

TRUNCATE_STYLESHEET_CONTENT	Automated	PKG_SCHEDULER_CALL.CLEAR_STYLESHEET_CONTENT;	Clears the stylesheet content table by erasing the data from the last week from the STYLESHEET-CONTENT table

TRAX_01_MINUTE – These jobs run every one minute. The purpose of these jobs are to do the following:

Refreshes the A/C Controller Panel View. This is evident in the A/C Controller Panel Refresh Time.
Redirect Routing Notes. (This is similar to the System Notifications that can be set up in TRAX).

TRAX_10_MINUTE – These jobs run every 10 minutes. The purpose of these jobs are to do the following:

Load Planning Data for Defects. This includes Defect Report data such as loading a Planning Query which includes Due Dates, and Due At Information which will be used by the Controller Panel. This is for all Customer Profiles except AZUL/VB.

TRAX_30_MINUTE – These jobs run every 30 minutes. The purpose of these jobs are to do the following:

Calculate the last RON overnight station for Flight Schedules
Task Card Index - The benefit of indexing a table is that it allows table rows with specific values to be located more quickly than would be possible if the entire table had to be read by searching for the rows. Task Card Index Optimizes and Syncs all indexes on Task Cards Blobs (TC Items including images, audio, or other multimedia objects) & Text. Optimizing indexes is vital because the performance of an Oracle-based application depends, amongst other things, on appropriate indexing of the tables used by the application. Most applications go into production with indexing based on the implementers' predictions of the requirements, sometimes adjusted in the light of experience during testing. Even if this index set is initially effective, it will require revision over time in the light of code changes and enhancements, changes in usage patterns, and changes in data distribution. The database then syncs the index to process 'inserts', 'updates', and 'deletes' to the base table. Specify the memory parameter as if defines the amount of memory Oracle uses for the synchronization operation before flushing the index to disk. Specifying a large amount of memory: improves indexing performance because there is less I/O and improves query performance and maintenance because there is less fragmentation.15.13TraxDoc Content Index - Optimizes and Syncs all indexes in TraxDoc Content and Revisions.

TRAX_60_MINUTE - These jobs run every 60 minutes. The purpose of these jobs are to:

Load the 7 Day Forecast. This job must be set up in the Interactive Planner window before the job can be ran. Additionally, the job will only be activated if Switch PLNAUTO7D is set to Yes. For additional information, refer to Switch PLNAUTO7D via the Planning Switches Manual.

Activate the Database Job MONTHLY_POSTCOMPLETE_WO at the end of every month

TRAX_01_MONTH - These jobs are scheduled to run once a month. The purpose of these jobs are to:

When the switch POSTCOMPLINEWO is set to Yes, the system activates the Database Job MONTHLY_POSTCOMPLETE_WO to automatically change the status of W/Os with the Category LINE from Completed to Post Completed at the end of every month. When set to No, the system will not activate the Database Job MONTHLY_POSTCOMPLETE_WO to automatically change the status of W/Os with the Category LINE from Completed to Post Completed at the end of every month.
When the switch CLOSEALLPOSTCOM is set to Yes, the system activates the Database Job MONTHLY_CLOSE_WO to close all W/Os currently in Post Complete Status at the end of the month.
