Dock and Undock Option

logo_11_small edited

A feature that is available in Version 11 is the ability for the user to 'Undock' a window from TRAX. This method allows the user to place the window anywhere on their desktop or in TRAX by selecting the Undock button located at the top of the window. The user may have multiple windows open at the same time.

Note: This feature is not available in Trax version 12.5. It has been replaced with the Float option. For additional information, refer to the Float Button, via the Style Tab of the Trax Version 12.5 System Updates manual.

Once the window is undocked, the user can move the window anywhere in TRAX or on the user's desktop. To insert the window back into TRAX, select the Dock button located at the top of the undocked window.

Note: For users with multiple displays, the Undock option allows you to drag the undocked window from one display to the next. This allows the user to see the information side by side in a clear and open format.

In the XI release, the user is able to open as many records as desired and undock them and/or have them side by side simultaneously.

As mentioned above, the user is able to simultaneously open as many records from the same window as desired. If the user needs to see different part number records then the user can open all of these records, side by side, and undock them and place them anywhere on the screen.
