Issuing an Exchange Order OutAfter creating an Exchange Order Out, the user can issue the serviceable P/N to the specified Customer. This can be done through a Picklist that reserves and issues the P/N, or directly from an Inventory Transaction. Note: The Process Sequence of Issuing and Receiving an X/O is dependent on the user's company procedures, or the situation of the Customer requiring a serviceable P/N. For example, in an emergency, like AOG, a P/N of an X/O may need to be issued before an unserviceable P/N is received. However, per a company's policy, a P/N of an X/O may be required to be received from the customer before a serviceable P/N can be issued. The following is the basic life cycle of an Exchange Order Out, from the creation of the order as a whole to the creation of the order for the specific exchange:
Once an Exchange Order Out goes through this basic life cycle, move on to Receiving the Exchange Order Out or Exchange Order Out Finalization, per the company's procedures or the Customer's situation of requiring a serviceable P/N. If the user's next step of the Exchange Order Out process is to receive the unserviceable P/N from the Customer, then proceed to Receiving an Exchange Order Out. If the user received the unserviceable P/N from the Customer before issuing the serviceable P/N, then proceed to Exchange Order Out Finalization. |
