Exchange Order Setup and Configuration

Before creating Exchange Orders, administrators must set up the security, authorization, and revision configurations.

• The following Transaction Codes in particular must be set up for the Exchange Order process:
  • Options E/X
  • Order Type
  • Order Category
• The listed switches configure some of the most broad features that affect Exchange Order management. For more information, refer to the following switches:
  • EXPRICECHANGEAUTH
  • EXTOPOLINE
  • EXREQRQ

Note: Other switches that affect Exchange Orders will be mentioned throughout this process. For more information on all available switches, refer to the Orders Switches Manual.

• Depending on the user's company's operating procedures, Exchange Orders may require authorization. For more information, refer to the Order Authorization Explorer.

Once all of these configurations have been set up, users can begin Creating an Exchange Order.
