Sales Order and Sales Order Return Setup and Configuration

Before creating Sales Orders or Sales Order Returns, administrators must set up the security, authorization, and revision configurations.

The following is the basic life cycle of a Sales Order and Sales Order Return, particularly the setup and configuration:

• The following Transaction Codes in particular must be set up for the Sales Order and Sales Order Return process:
  • Priority
  • Order Type
• The listed switches configure some of the most broad features that affect Sales Order management. For more information, refer to the following switches:
  • COMULTICURRENCY
  • SOINVAUTH

Note: Other switches that affect Sales Orders and Sales Order Returns will be mentioned throughout this process. For more information, refer to the Customer Orders Switches Manual.

• Depending on the user's company's operating procedures, Sales Order Returns require an authorization process to be completed. For more information, refer to the Authorization Process and the Order Authorization Explorer.
