Training Setup and Configuration

Before beginning the Training Process, administrators must set up the security, authorization, and revision configurations.

The following is the basic life cycle of the Training module, particularly the setup and configuration:

• The listed switches configure some of the most broad features that affect Training management. For more information, refer to the following switches:
  • AUTCHSTAAPR
  • CHKTRAINER
  • CHKTRAINERCOURSE
  • TCLACRC
  • TRGNODET
  • TRNLOCVA
  • TRNSLOT

Note: Other Switches that affect the Training Process will be mentioned throughout this process. For more information on all switches, refer to the Training Switches Manual.

• The following Transaction Codes in particular must be set up for the Training Process:
  • Course Category
  • Course Grade
  • Employee Authorization Category
  • Level of Training
  • Method of Training
  • School
  • Training Class Employee Cancel Category
• The following Master data and information must be set up for the Training Process:
  • Employee
  • Skill
  • Location

Once all of these configurations have been set up, users can begin Training Course Registration.
