MPD Loader, via Manufacturer Data Import

The MPD Data Loader option is used to load the Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) Data Records into Trax. The MPD is a publication that has the requirements for maintenance from the maintenance review board and from manufacturer recommended maintenance requirements for a specific aircraft type and series.

Note: The system has two different methods for importing MPD Data: through Engineering or TraxDoc. The MPD Data Loader via Engineering can be used to load manuals or maintenance requirements for all manufacturers. The MPD Loader via TraxDoc can only be used to import data from Airbus and Boeing. Also, the Excel file that is used to import data into Trax (via Engineering) can be manipulated prior to the import. In TraxDoc, the system will display pop up messages if the aircraft effectivity is not set up, etc. This set up will have to be rectified manually via the Effectivity but_effectivity_small button before the user can continue with the import.

The MPD file is a tab delimited text file that can be manipulated in Excel before importing the data into Trax. The tab delimited text file must be set up properly to import the data records into TRAX.
