External Exchange, via A/C P/N Transaction

This option should not be used under normal circumstances. It has the effect of creating a new serial number (Exchange unit in) on the part installed on the aircraft and removing (Exchange unit out) the removed serial number from the system. The External Exchange option will allow you to carry out an Exchange of a part installed on your aircraft.

This function will:

Create a new Serial Number for the unit being installed on the aircraft.
Write an Exchange In Receive history for the unit being installed.
Write an Exchange Out Issue for the part being removed.
Write Part Transaction Removal history for both units (a remove and install).

The operational functionality is the same as the Remove/Install option.
