Navigation Panel/ User Settings/ View Settings

View Settings:

In View Settings the user can control how the appearance of the windows in the application will appear in a user friendly manner. The user can choose whether the tabs in the windows will appear with 'Text and Images' or whether the tab position will be 'On Top' of the window or 'On Bottom'. Another highly innovative setting is the Row Indicator the user can select to have the current field highlighted by selecting the Current Field Highlight checkbox. These View Settings allow the user to customize how TRAX will respond and display throughout the application in a user-friendly way.

These are a few examples of how the user can personalize their view settings.

This is security controlled via System Administration/ Explorer/ Security Explorer/ System Transaction Configuration/ User Settings Menu - View Settings. For additional information, refer to the Security Explorer via the System Administration Training Manual.

Row Indicator:

Another example is the Row Indicator field. The Row Indicator field under View Settings is set to 'Hand' which is the default setting for the application. The Customer Orders window is selected and a new order is created and saved. The row indicator displays the 'hand.'

When the Row Indicator is set to 'Rectangle Red', after saving and opening up a new window, the user's view settings applied and the row indicator is a red rectangle highlighting the row.

Note: These are just two examples of the many options available under the View Settings tab of the Navigation Panel.

Current Field Highlight:

The Current Field Highlight option is available in the View Settings of the new Navigation Panel. This feature allows the user to turn on and off the option to have the system highlight (in yellow) the current field the user is accessing. This is just one of many of the the new features that allows our users to customize their viewer settings.

Function Settings:

Under Function Settings, the Dictionary, Pop Message and Category Title fields are located. The fields allow the user to set up the language through which the user will require when using the spell check function throughout the application as well as how to view inbox messages.

Other:

Under Other Settings, the user is also able to set up their email signature. The Email Signature function allows users to create an email signature to be used when sending an email.

Apply to ALL Option:

The Apply to ALL option allows the user to apply their View Settings to all TRAX users.

The Apply to ALL option is security controlled via Security Explorer/ System Administration/ Explorer/ User Menu Settings - View Settings - Apply to ALL. For additional information, refer to the Security Explorer via the System Administration Training Manual.

Select the Apply to ALL option.
