Close W/O Button, via W/O Task Card (Work)

Through the T/C Work but_tc work (small) button of the Work Order window, once all Task Cards associated to the Work Order have been actioned (closed, deferred, canceled), the W/O status changes to Completed.

The Close W/O Close_WO button can then be used to change the W/O status from Completed to Post Completed, which writes compliance records to the attached E/Cs, P/N E/Cs, P/N Controls, and defects so that a Planning forecast can be generated to determine the next due dates. Also, any unused material issued to the W/O can still be returned to stock (RTS) to credit the W/O Actuals (financials).

Note: When Production Switch WOPOSTCM is set to Yes, when a user closes a W/O using the W/O Task Card, Close W/O button or the W/O Closing window, the W/O status changes from Completed to Post Completed. Compliance records are written for controls attached to the W/O and repeat schedules are reset. Users can return to stock (RTS) unused material that was issued to the W/O to credit the W/O Actuals.

When WOPOSTCM is set to No, when the user closes a W/O the W/O status changes from Completed to Closed. Compliance records are written and schedules reset; unused material cannot be RTS to credit the W/O Actuals because the W/O and its financials are closed.

The status for the following W/O is Open because it still has Task Cards open.

TRAX_WO Task Card Task Card Open

Select into the remaining Task Cards and close each of them.

TRAX_WO Task Card Task Card Close

Once all Task Cards are closed, the W/O status automatically changes from Open to Completed and the Close W/O Close_WO button appears.

TRAX_WO Task Card Task Card Closed

logo_12_small editedNote: With Switch COMPTECHLOGWOTC set to Yes, the Completed OnTech Log field is available to be populated upon all Task Cards being closed before the W/O is closed.

Verify the Completion Date and Time and then select the Close W/O Close_WO button. The W/O status changes from Completed to Post Completed. This status means that the aircraft is released for service and compliance records have been written for the controls, and any unused material issued to the W/O can be returned to stock, crediting the W/O Actuals.

Once the W/O Actuals have been reviewed and all unused material returned to stock, the W/O can be set to Closed status via the W/O Closing Post Completion window.

Note: When Production Switch WOPOSTCM is set to No, once the user selects the Close W/O Close_WO button, the W/O status changes from Completed to Closed. The aircraft is released for service and compliance records are written for the controls, however unused material cannot be RTS to credit the W/O Actuals because the W/O and its financials are now closed.

E/C P/N Warning:

If a Work Order has multiple P/N E/Cs for the same existing P/N and from the list of P/N E/Cs one has a modified P/N, then a soft warning will display upon W/O Closing.

In the example below E/C '032113' and '0321132' are both effective to P/N '032113SR':

ENG_PN EC_1

Note that E/C '032113' has P/N '032113SR' and this P/N will be modified to P/N '0321132SR':

ENG_PN EC

The following soft warning is displayed upon W/O Closing:
