Multiple Part Storage (Murata)

Users can store parts in the warehouse through the MCM system by going to the Inventory Transaction window and selecting the ASRS Multi Store button (via the One Step Transfer but_single_(multi)_(one step)_(transfer)_small multi-button).

Once the ASRS Multi Store button is selected, the Multiple Parts Store window appears as follows. Users can search for parts through the Batch, P/N, or S/N fields.

The following information/options are available in this window:
_____________________________________________________________________________________

Batch

The inventory number that is currently associated with a part or group of parts. A part's Batch number can change after various types of transactions take place.

P/N

The Part Number reference for the aircraft part.

S/N

The Serial Number for the specific serialized part.

Qty

The Quantity of parts to be stored in the Bin.

Once a part is found, its information is displayed in the middle portion of the window. Here users must select the Priority and the Tray Size required for the part's storage. This information will help the Murata interface determine which Tray to store the part in.

The following information/options are available in this window:
_____________________________________________________________________________________

Priority drop down

The Priority designates where the request/Bin Transfer will set in the Murata Queue. The options are 'Normal' or 'High.' Selecting 'Normal' will place the request where it best fits in the queue (usually at the bottom), 'High' will place the request at the top of the queue. For more information refer to the Murata Queue.

Tray Type drop down

This field indicates the amount of Bins in the Tray. The size of the part will determine the size of the Bin needed to store said part. A Tray with fewer Bins means each Bin is larger while a Tray with many Bins means each Bin is smaller. Each letter corresponds to a number interval (i.e., A = 1, B = 8, C = 16, D = 24).

Once the above information is set and ready to be stored, select the Save but_save_small button. Once saved, the part/batch is moved to the bottom portion of the window. Repeat this process for all parts requiring storage.

Note: Users are not allowed to store Hazardous Material parts in ASRS Bins. The following warning will prevent users from proceeding if the part is a Hazardous Material (as indicated via the Hazardous Material checkbox of the P/N Master, Inventory tab).

Once all parts are ready to be stored, select the Request Tray button. This will trigger the Murata Interface to determine which Trays to be sent to the Picking Station. These requests will then be placed in the Murata Queue.

From the Murata Queue, notice that the Tray has been requested to store the parts.

Once the Tray arrives, select into the transaction from the Murata Queue. This will open Tray Management/Murata Multifunctional Screen. From this window, the Bins where each part must be stored are highlighted in green.

logo_X_small edited Note: The Bin containing the pending Murata request(s) will be highlighted in blue, Bins that contain a part are green, and empty Bins are white.

Select the Store Parts but_save_small button to return the part(s) to the Tray. When selected, enter the Batch into the Verify Batch pop-up. The Batch can be entered manually or the Batch can be scanned with a hand-held scanner.

Once the part is physically placed in the Bin and completed, the following prompt appears for confirmation.

Once the part is stored in the Tray, the Bin will not be marked in green and the transaction is removed from the bottom of the window. Once all parts are stored, the Tray can be returned by selecting the Release Tray but_release_tray_small button.
