By selecting the Auto Schedule checkbox via the Engineering Control, Schedule tab, an Engineering Control will be scheduled to take place by or before the due date/time by auto-creating a Work Order. The system auto schedules the Work Order in accordance with the E/C’s Repeat Schedule (repeat interval) unless a flight is scheduled for the aircraft. If the aircraft is scheduled for a flight at the due date/time, the system will generate the Work Order by taking into account certain criteria such as: sufficient E/C ground time, E/C Yield % (Warning % Due). However, if a Work Order already exists and meets all of the above conditions, the system will add the E/C to the existing W/O, taking into account Task Card conflict, Ban Location, and Location Site Capability as well as Location Site (Inactive/Restriction) configuration. For the Auto Schedule option to function properly, at least one (1) compliance must have occurred after the selection of the Auto Schedule checkbox. In this case the system refers to the schedule of the specific aircraft tail number, not just the blanket schedule found in the Engineering Control, Schedule tab. The amount of scheduled down time needed for the E/C is entered through the Ground Time Required field via the Engineering Control, Other Tab. This field is mandatory when the Auto Schedule checkbox is selected. The locations where the scheduled ground times take place must be Maintenance Facilities for the system to validate the auto Work Order creation. For more information refer to the Location Master via the Settings Training Manual. Note: The setting of switch This feature does function with the Next E/C functionality. For example, create an Engineering Control and schedule several consecutive flights for the same aircraft.
Scenario 1: Scheduled Flights The Auto Schedule checkbox must be selected from the Schedule tab of the Engineering Control. The E/C has a Warning % Due of 90% with a schedule of 2 days. Note: The Auto Schedule functionality no longer has to be used in conjunction with Daily E/C checkbox.
From the A/C Master, Auto W/O tab, note the Over Night Station, WO Start Time and WO Duration for A/C N806.
The E/C is already linked to the below Work Order.
The Work Order is scheduled on November 14th from 8:32am to 11:32am. Select the Work Order block.
The details of the Work Order can be reviewed.
The E/C is complied with and the Work Order is now in POSTCOMPLT status.
Once the E/C is complied with, the Work Order is created at 18:30 for a duration of 3 hours. Select on the Work Order block.
The details of the Work Order can be reviewed.
Note: The next scheduled flight must be scheduled in the database at the time which the W/O Post Completion occurs (above) to prevent the Work Order from being created during its last flight.
Scenario 2: No Scheduled Flights This scenario is for E/Cs where the Repeat Schedule will fall further out in the future where no schedule flights will be available. The Auto Schedule checkbox must be selected from the Schedule tab of the Engineering Control. The E/C has a Warning % Due of 90% with a schedule of 2 days.
From the A/C Master, Auto W/O tab, note the Over Night Station, WO Start Time and WO Duration for A/C N806.

The following rules apply to the Auto Schedule functionality: 1. If there are no scheduled flights for the aircraft on the day the Auto Work Order is to be generated, the Work Order would have been created at the location specified against the Auto W/O tab via the A/C Master. In the above example, BOS. 2. A new Work Order will be created if the E/C is complied with and the original W/O is closed. 3. If a conflicting Task Card is already linked to a Work Order that falls within the date range where the Auto Schedule W/O will be generated and the Auto Scheduled E/C T/C is complied with, the Auto Work Order will be created and scheduled on a different day before the existing W/O. 4. If a Ban Location had been set up, the Work Order would have been created at a location where the Auto E/C can be performed. 5. The system will also validate for any Location Site Inactive Schedule setup and will auto generate the W/O in a date/time range which falls outside of the restricted date and time.
