A/C Type/Series, Software Tab

The Software tab in the A/C Type/Series window appears when Settings Switch PNSOFTEC is set to Yes and the Software Configuration Control checkbox is selected in the A/C Type/Series, General tab. The Software tab allows customers to enter XML reference points (tags) identified from the A/C manufacturer’s As Delivered XML file; these reference points serve as markers during the Manufacture Data Import load for an A/Cs P/N Software Configuration. During the import, when the system comes across the reference points it will know what to include in the import process and where to load the data. A single file can now be used to import software into the system.

P/N Master, Reliability Tab

Fleet Family - This field is used to track P/N reliability organized by Fleet Family (e.g., Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, etc.).

System Notification

A/C Out Of Service Notes - Notification sent when the notes in the A/C Out Of Service window have been updated and saved (via Defect Report and Production W/O).

EO Due Date Anterior WO Due Date - Notification sent when an E/C is added to a W/O and the E/C's Due Date is before the W/O's Schedule/Completion Date.

MEL Creation Notification - Notification sent when the same MEL number is applied to the same A/C within a set number of Hours, Cycles, or Days, as configured in the notification details.

OPS Impact - Notification sent when an E/C has the Flt Ops Affected Notification checkbox selected (via the E/C, Other tab) and the E/C is added to a W/O.

Part Installed CTRL Overdue - Notification sent when a P/N Control becomes overdue on a part while the part is installed on an A/C.

Part Issued AC Different - Notification sent when a part is issued to a different A/C than the A/C it was requisitioned for.

Vendor Status Change - Notification sent when a Vendor's status has changed.

Software Configuration Explorer

The Software Configuration Explorer window displays what software (P/N Software) is currently loaded on an A/C and the Software Location ID (SLID). The Authorized P/N Software column also displays any E/Cs that have been released to upgrade the software.

Vendor Master, General Tab

Approved Programs: Users can select one or more Approved Programs for the Vendor which will be displayed on the Approved Vendors List Volume 1 and 2 prints alongside each applicable Vendor's entry.

Note: Only Vendors using a AVL-enabled Category code will appear on the Approved Vendors List Volume 1 and 2 prints. For more information, refer to Vendor Category.

Calibrated Tool and Equipment checkbox - Select to display Calibrated Tool and Equipment as an Approved Program for the applicable Vendor on the Approved Vendors List Volume 1 and 2 prints.

Oxygen Service checkbox - Select to display Oxygen Service as an Approved Program for the applicable Vendor on the Approved Vendors List Volume 1 and 2 prints.

Weight and Balance checkbox - Select to display Weight and Balance as an Approved Program for the applicable Vendor on the Approved Vendors List Volume 1 and 2 prints.

Other checkbox - Select to create a custom Approved Program for the applicable Vendor on the Approved Vendors List Volume 1 and 2 prints. When this checkbox is selected a free text field will appear used to name the custom Approved Program.

Ratings: Users can assign and remove Ratings codes to/from the selected Vendor. Assigned Ratings codes will appear on the Approved Vendors List Volume 1 and 2 prints. Rating codes are created through the Ratings Master window.

Audit - Software Configuration on AC, via P/N Software Configuration Query

The Audit - Software Configuration on AC button functions as a comparison tool to compare an aircraft's 'As-Delivered' XML software configuration file to what software is currently installed in TRAX.

Review Date - The user can select a date by which inventory levels should be checked at individual locations.

The Survey Forms button is used to create surveys for A/C Type/Series. A/C Type/Series survey questions can only be answered via the PilotLog application.

SWO Requisition NHA Effectivity Override Flag checkbox - Select this checkbox to have the system generate a soft warning when a requisition is generated for an NLA part that is placed on a Shop Work Order. If the NLA part does not share the same effectivity as any NHA parts it is associated to, the requisition will not be generated. If the checkbox is deselected, the system will generate a hard warning, preventing the user from completing the Requisition Detail.
