P/N View, via P/N Explorer

The user may view parts in inventory using the P/N Explorer's P/N View.

Note: Users may now view parts that exist in the P/N Master General Inventory and the P/N Master GSE Inventory in the P/N Explorer.

By clicking on the Expand button next to the P/N View, TRAX displays the following pop-up window:

Enter the desired P/N in the pop-up window's text box or double-click on the P/N within the window.

If the part exists in inventory, then TRAX re-displays the P/N Explorer Screen, as follows:

At the end of the informational line item is either the Company field or the Owner field. If the unit has an Owner, the Owner will be shown. If the unit does not have an Owner, then the Company will be shown.

By right clicking on the P/N, TRAX allows the user to view a pop-up menu and make the appropriate selection, as follows:

The user may also right click over the P/N Explorer icon and TRAX displays the above menu with a more limited set of options regarding actions that may be taken on the part:

Select the appropriate action as necessary. For information on the above buttons, refer to the P/N Explorer Buttons, via the P/N Explorer.

Additional Functionality:

Note: The following functionality is a customized request and may not be available for all companies.

When searching for a Main P/N such as the one below, a button will appear next to all Interchangeable P/Ns. When selected, a pop-up window will appear to show all available interchangeable P/Ns associated to the previously selected P/N.

From the Drop Down selection window, search for an Interchangeable P/N and click on the Interchangeable button.

The P/N Interchangeable pop-up window appears, listing all available Interchangeable parts that belong to the previously selected Main P/N.

Select one of the available Interchangeable parts by double-clicking them.

Both the Main P/N and the Interchangeable P/N appear in the P/N Explorer. The location of each part will also be specified.

When searching for a Main P/N such as the one below, a pop-up will appear displaying all available interchangeable P/Ns associated to the Main P/N.

From the Drop Down selection window, search for P/N 116024-MAIN.

The One Way Interchangeable pop up window appears informing the user that this Interchangeable part belongs to the Main P/N:

Double click on the One Way Interchangeable.

Both the Main P/N and the One Way Interchangeable P/N appear in the P/N Explorer and the user can see that there is a One Way Interchangeable available in the location MCO.

Note: If the user exits the One Way Interchangeable pop up window, only the Main P/N appears in the P/N Explorer.
