Task Card Setup and Configuration

Before creating Task Cards, administrators must set up the security, authorization, and revision configurations.

The following is the basic life cycle of a Task Card, particularly the setup and configuration:

• The following Transaction Codes in particular must be set up for the Task Card process:
  • Task Card Authorization Group
  • Task Card Type
  • Task Card Category
  • Task Card Phase
• The listed switches set up the authorization regarding the Task Card management:
  • AVOIDRATCHOLD
  • REVAUTH
  • TCAUTHPROT
  • TCSMPER
• The listed switches set up the editing regarding the Task Card management:
  • TC/CTL
  • TCEDITOR
  • TCNECAUTHPROT
  • TCVIAREV
• The listed switches configure some of the most broad features that affect Task Card management:
  • LOCSITEALLOWED
  • TCASDEF
  • TCDUPINS
  • TCEFFECT
  • TCEFFRANGE
  • TCITMEFF

  • TCMSMAN
  • TCQUICKRES

• Depending on the user's company's operating procedures, Task Cards require an authorization process to be completed. For more information, refer to the Authorization Process and the Task Card Authorization Group Explorer and the Task Card Authorization Explorer.

Once all of these configurations have been set up, users can begin the Task Card Creation.
