MAXSKILLRANK - Set a Maximum Number of Skills to be ranked
Set a Maximum Number of Skills to be ranked Affected Window: w_skill_master_eu
This switch does not have Yes/No functionality. The number entered in the Config Number field determines how many skills can be ranked in the Skill Master window. The Skill Master window will validate the Priority Rank number and prevent the user from ranking more skills than identified in the Config Number field. Setting up the Priority Rank fields in the Skill Master allows the user to determine which skills appear in the W/O Task Priority window and in what order. The system will calculate the Task Card Man Hours and display the accumulated totals for each skill in the Man Hours Planned table. The Priority Rank numbers must be continuous. If a ranked skill that falls in a range of skills is deleted, the system automatically re-numbers the later skill. For example, if skill A = priority 1, skill B = priority 2, skill C = priority 3, if the Priority Rank for skill B is removed (null) then skill C automatically updates to Priority Rank 2.
Example: For Switch
In the Skill Master window, the user can rank any skill from 1 to 6.
If the user tries to assign a Priority Rank of 7 to an additional skill, the following error appears.
The following Task Card has been set up with Man Hours.
The Task Card is attached to a W/O. Via the Task Priority button, the Man Hours Planned table displays the skills as ranked in the Skill Master. The system also calculates the number of Task Card Man Hours and displays the totals. Skill 'PROC' - (Man Hour) 1 X (Men Required) 1 = 1 Skill 'S' - (Man Hour) 1 X (Men Required) 2 = 2 Although Skill 'IC' is part of the Task Card Item Man Hours, it does not appear in the Man Hours Planned table because that skill is not ranked in the Skill Master.
