Receiving Setup and Configuration

Before beginning the Receiving Process, administrators must set up the security and revision configurations.

The following is the basic life cycle of Receiving, particularly the setup and configuration:

• The following Order Types must be created before they can be received:
  • Exchange Order Out
  • Rental Order
  • Sales Order Return
  • Exchange Order
  • Loan Order
  • Purchase Order
  • Repair Order
  • Service Order
  • Transfer Order
  • Warranty Claim Order
• The listed switches configure some of the features that affect Pre Receiving:

• The listed switches configure some of the features that affect Order Receiving:

Note: Other Switches that affect Receiving will be mentioned throughout this process. For more information on all switches, refer to the Receiving Switches Manual.

• The following Transaction Codes must be set up for Receiving:
  • Approved Certificate
  • Condition Pre Receiving
  • Order Receiving Discrepancy Category
  • R/I Defer Reason Code
  • Warranty Claim Receiving

Once all of these configurations have been set up, users can begin with Pre Receiving or Order Receiving, depending on the user's company's protocols.
