Protect Fields for Tool P/Ns During Rental Order Receiving
Affected Window: w_rn_receiving_eu
Switch Set to Yes:
When set to Yes, during Rental Order Receiving, the S/N, Condition, Tool Life EXP and Tool Calibration Number fields will be protected for Tool P/Ns.
Scenario 1 - Tool EXP and Tool Calibration Number Required checkboxes are selected in P/N Master, Inventory tab:
The following Tool P/N has the Tool Calibration Flag checkbox as well as the Tool Calibration Number Required checkbox selected.
The P/N is Initial Loaded and the Tool information is entered.
The following Rental Order is created for the Tool P/N.
The Rental Order is Issued.
During Rental Order Receiving, the S/N, Condition, Tool Life EXP and Tool Calibration Number fields are protected. This means that the information in these four fields is auto populated from the information in the P/N Initial Load window.
Scenario 2 - Tool EXP and Tool Calibration Number Required checkboxes are de-selected in P/N Master, Inventory tab:
The following Tool P/N does not have the Tool Calibration Flag checkbox as well as the Tool Calibration Number Required checkbox selected.
The Tool P/N is Initial Loaded. Notice that the Tool EXP field as well as the Tool Calibration Number field do not appear in the P/N Initial Load window. This is because the Tool Calibration Flag and Tool Calibration Number Required checkboxes are de-selected in the above window.
The following Rental Order is created for the Tool P/N.
The Rental Order is Issued.
In the P/N Master, Inventory tab, the tool Calibration Flag and Tool Calibration Number Required checkboxes are selected. Upon save, the following information box pops up, informing the user that the Tool life Expiration Date for all P/Ns 60012-12 will be updated. Select 'No.'
The S/N, Condition, Tool Life EXP and Tool Calibration Number fields are again protected, however the Tool Life Expiration defaults to the current date.
Switch Set to No:
When set to No, during Rental Order Receiving, the S/N, Condition, Tool Life EXP and Tool Calibration Number fields will not be protected for Tool P/Ns.
The S/N, Condition, Tool Life EXP and Tool Calibration Number fields will not be protected for Tool P/Ns.
