Note: Switch PNNOTSOFT functionality has changed in TRAX Version X with the introduction of P/N Software Configuration. The UP/Software button is no longer available in the Order Receiving, Receiving Inspection, or Inventory Transaction windows.

Switch set to Yes:

When set to Yes, the UP/SOFTWARE transaction is not available in the A/C P/N Transaction drop down list, even if security for the user is activated via Technical Records/ Update/ A/C P/N Transaction/ UP/SOFTWARE. Also, when creating a part on-wing using the A/C Initial P/N Load transaction, the P/N Software Upload window will not appear, preventing the user from adding software to the part being loaded.

The user has security access to the A/C P/N Transaction UP/SOFTWARE.

The UP/SOFTWARE transaction does not appear in the A/C P/N Transaction window.

Switch set to No:

When set to No, the UP/SOFTWARE transaction is available in the A/C P/N Transaction drop down list if the user has security access via Technical Records/ Update/ A/C P/N Transaction/ UP/SOFTWARE. Also, when creating a part on-wing using the A/C Initial P/N Load transaction, the P/N Software Upload window will appear allowing the user to add software to the part being loaded.

The user has security access to the A/C P/N Transaction UP/SOFTWARE.

The UP/SOFTWARE transaction appears in the A/C P/N Transaction window.

During an A/C Initial P/N Load transaction, the P/N Software Upload window appears allowing the user to add software to the part being loaded.
