A/C Control Button, via Engineering Compliance

With the proper security, the Status of the Engineering Manual Compliance for the individual records will be cascaded and reflected from the Status of the E/C

A/C Control Button, via Engineering Control

ETOPS: Indicates the extended range allotted to the aircraft

Engineering Control, General Tab

Company drop down: The Company used to auto generate the E/C reference. When this field is populated, only those aircraft with the same G/L Company via the A/C Master, Other 1 tab can be made effective to the E/C.

Control drop down: The Control (A/C, P/N, A/C Type, or ALL) used to auto generate the E/C reference. This field is used for naming purposes only.

E/C field (new modification): When the E/C Name Override checkbox is selected for a specified E/C via E/C Category transaction code, the E/C will be populated with the information from the Sub E/C field upon save. When the checkbox is deselected, the E/C will be populated with the information from the Control, Sub E/C and Company fields. For additional information, refer to the E/C Category Transaction Code, via the Engineering Transaction Code Manual.

ATA Chapter, Section, and Paragraph fields (new modification): System Notifications can be sent to select users whenever a new P/N Serial Number is received into Inventory that is associated to an Engineering Control with the specified ATA Chapter(s). The notifications are sent once the E/C for the P/N is accepted via the P/N E/C Selection window at Order Receiving, Receiving Inspection, or P/N Initial Load (see Receiving Switch ENGCOMP for more information). This System Notification is called 'RECEIVED PART WITH EFFECTIVE EO.'

New ATA Chapter, Section, and Paragraph but_new_small button: Select to add multiple ATA references to the Engineering Control. Each time this button is selected, a new set of Chapter, Section, and Paragraph fields become available.

Delete ATA Chapter, Section, and Paragraph but_delete button: Select to add multiple ATA references to the Engineering Control. Each time this button is selected, a new set of Chapter, Section, and Paragraph fields become available.

Engineering Control, Schedule Tab

First Schedule now works for A/C E/C and P/N E/C and allows for a mixed schedule between A/C Schedule Hours/Cycles/Days and Total Hours/Cycles/Days.

Whichever Occurs drop-down: allows users to control which schedule option will be used between both the A/C Schedule and the Total schedule. Select the 'Earliest' option to specify that the system will default to the schedule that reaches the earliest occurrence of the specified parameters. Select the 'Latest' option to specify that the system will default to the schedule that reaches the latest occurrence.

P/N E/C Override Button: Accessed through the P/N Control button.

P/N E/C Use Effective Date checkbox: This checkbox has been removed and replaced with the Calendar Days checkbox.

Calendar Days checkbox: The Calendar Days checkbox has replaced the P/N E/C Use E/C Effective Date checkbox in TRAX Version 11 and all later releases. The Calendar Days checkbox is only visible when Planning Switch PN_EC_INSTDAYS is set to Yes.

When the Calendar Days/Control checkbox is selected, planning calculates the controls due date based on calendar days starting from the controls Effective Date (reset/last compliance date). When the Calendar Days/Control checkbox is not selected, planning calculates the controls due date starting from the associated P/N S/N installed date (if the P/N S/Ns installed date is after the controls Effective Date).

The Calendar Days drop down should only be set to Yes (TRAX 11=checkbox selected) for P/N E/Cs that are driven by calendar days. For components that have an installed date prior to the Effective Date of the E/C, the system will use the Effective Date and not the installed date of the part to calculate the due date.

For E/Cs created with a Total Days schedule, the planning forecast is driven by the Manufacturer Date, via A/C Master, Other 1 tab. However, if the Manufacturer Date is not populated, then the planning forecast is driven by the Service Date, via A/C Master, General tab.

For more information, refer to Switch PN_EC_INSTDAYS via the Planning Switches Training Manual.

For more information on this change of functionality between TRAX Version X, Version 11, and Version 12.5, refer to P/N E/C Calendar Days Planning via the Engineering - E/C Training Manual.

Exceptions Report (A/C Readiness)

Exception Reports now include records where the P/N contain a space.

Override Button, via P/N CTL Button

Indicates that the Child E/Cs schedule is being overridden as a one-time only E/C for the selected Aircraft. For Child E/Cs that are adopting its parent E/C's schedule for a Work Order, if the Child E/C is transferred from that Work Order to another W/O, then this checkbox is selected for the W/O's specific Aircraft. Once the Child E/C is compiled for that Aircraft, this checkbox is automatically deselected and the E/C remains in Open Status.

P/N CTL Button, via Engineering Compliance

With the proper security, the Status of the Engineering Manual Compliance for the individual records will be cascaded and reflected from the Status of the E/C

P/N E/C Calendar Days Planning

The P/N E/C Calendar Days functionality has been modified as of Version 11. The P/N E/C Use E/C Effective Date checkbox has been removed and replaced by Planning switch PN_EC_INSTDAYS. When this switch is set to Yes, the Calendar Days checkbox will be visible for P/N E/Cs.

STYLESHEET Editor

The user may set up the default configuration for the format of the stylesheet for the Task Card Editor via the Task Editor Style but_task_editor_style button. For additional information on how to set this up, refer to switch TCEDITOR via the Engineering Switches Manual.

TASKCARD Editor

When the 'TASKCARD' Editor is selected in the Task Card, Optional 1 tab, the system uses a mix of the RTF stylesheet and TraxDoc to compose Task Card Items. This means that all Items for that Task Card, whether entered through RTF or brought in through TraxDoc loads, will be linked. RTF Items can reference TraxDoc Items, if necessary.

Note: When printing the Task Card, the customer's custom datawindows can be set to look the same as their stylesheet Task Cards.

Task Card, Optional 1 Tab

The TASKCARD Editor has been added to the Editor drop down in the Task Card, Optional 1 Tab. When selected, this editor makes additional information available in the Task Card window for convenience. Users can view, add, and/or modify the Materials, Zones, Panels, and Items associated to the Task Card.

Task Card, Optional 3 Tab

When the TASKCARD Editor is selected in the Task Card, Optional 1 tab, additional information becomes available at the bottom of the Task Card window. From this section of the window, users can conveniently view, add, and/or modify the Materials, Zones, Panels, and Items that are associated to the Task Card. These sections are available from each tab in the Task Card window, and they are also available when the Task Card is associated to a Work Order from the W/O Task Card window.

Functional Chk checkbox: The Functional Check checkbox is an informational field.

Leak Chk checkbox: The Leak Check checkbox is an informational field.

T1: Select this radio button to designate the technician as level 1. Level 1 specifies the technician is task trained at the required task.

T2: Select this radio button to designate the technician as level 2. Level 2 specifies the technician is task trained and is certified at the required task.

T3: Select this radio button to designate the technician as level 3. Level 3 specifies the technician is certified and licensed at the required task.

Task Card Quick Reference Section

At the bottom of the Task Card, W/O Task Card, and W/O Non-Routine Task Card windows, the T/C Quick Reference Section allows users to conveniently view and update any Parts, Panels, Zones, and Items that are linked to the Task Card. These reference guides are available from each tab in the Task Card window; they are also available when the Task Card is associated to a Work Order from the W/O Task Card window.

For detailed information on Task Cards and how/why they are linked to Work Orders, refer to the Task Card Button, via the Work Order Header Buttons.

Note: The Material, Zones, and Panels options are available for all Task Card Editor types; the Items section is only available when T/C Editor NONE or TASKCARD are selected in the Optional 1 tab.
