Location Creation Process

The system allows the use of multiple locations for different functions, for warehouses, maintenance facilities, stations, libraries, etc. Within each location, it is also possible to create sub-locations or 'Sites.' These Sites are used to further break down the location for work purposes, e.g. a maintenance facility may have many workshops. Normally, the user will have to create two types of inventory locations in TRAX: a Location for normal inventory (i.e. serviceable Inventory), and a location for unserviceable inventory (a Quarantine location).

The following process flow is a general guide for the creation of a Location. This life cycle may vary depending on each TRAX user and their company's customized protocols.
