Ground Service Equipment (GSE) ProcessThe GSE module is used to track Ground Service Equipment (Ground Power Unit, GSE Tugs, De-Icing machines, etc.) within the system. The GSE module allows for preventative maintenance to be performed, including the tracking of various types of Ground Support Equipment in a fleet. In addition, the GSE Module allows users to plan any necessary corrective maintenance when required to the GSE, and its installed components. The GSE module contains many of the features and functionalities available throughout the entire system. When using the GSE module, most System Transaction Codes and System Transaction Configuration Switches can be found throughout the Engineering, Production, Requisitions, Orders, and Inventory Modules. For reference on setting up configuration switches or System Transaction Codes, see the System Administration manual. The following process flow is a general guide for the configuration, setup, engineering, planning, and production of the Ground Service Equipment (GSE) life cycle. This life cycle may vary depending on each TRAX user and their company's customized protocols.
