Task Card GSE Item Editor

Note: This switch does not have Yes/No functionality.

This switch allows users to select the default Task Card text editor format for the GSE module.

Enter any of the following choices into the switch’s Config Other field in capital letters: ‘NONE’ (default), ‘WORD,' or ‘STYLESHEET.'

Note: Please note that Microsoft® Word 2000 is only supported when using the Oracle version 8i and above.

The options are:

NONE – The default setting.

WORD – If the user utilizes Microsoft® Word to edit Task Cards, in Switch TCEDITOR, enter the word ‘WORD’ in the Config Other field. Upon doing this, the user can select the Convert to Word button to convert the existing Task Card to Microsoft® Word format. Once the conversion process is completed, the user can only open the Task Card with Microsoft® Word, so must be certain of the decision to convert before proceeding.

STYLESHEET – If Stylesheet® is the user’s default editor.

Notice the following switch has ‘WORD’ entered into the Config Other field for the user’s text editor to be Microsoft® Word.

Upon opening a GSE Task Card, notice the Convert to Word button is available.
