VALPNCONTROLSCHEDULE - Validate P/N Control Actuals Against Schedules
Validate P/N Control Actuals Against Schedules Affected Window: w_picklist_detail_eu
Switch Set to Yes When set to Yes, the schedule of a P/N Control will be validated against actuals in the P/N Inventory Control at the reservation Process and/or issuing process.
In this example, the user has created a P/N Control with two separate A/C schedules. The first schedule is set to 80,000 cycles for A/C N591JB. The second schedule is set to 120,000 cycles for A/C N612JB.
Currently, the part in Inventory has accumulated 80,001 cycles. Note that this exceeds the first schedule's set cycles (80,000).
The user now attempts to create a picklist for a W/O that requires this part. Note that the W/O is made for A/C N591JB which the first P/N Control schedule was created for.
At this point, the system validates the P/N Control Actuals of the part in Inventory (80,001) to the P/N Control schedule that was specified for this A/C (80,000). It determines that the part in Inventory is not a valid choice for this W/O and cancels the Picklist Creation. Instead, the system has automatically created a Requisition for the part which can be viewed in the Requisition tab of the W/O Detail window.
If the user were to attempt to manually issue that part to that same W/O, the system would issue the following hard warning:
Next, the user creates a W/O for the A/C N612JB. Remember that the P/N Control in question had a separate schedule for this particular A/C that was set to 120,000 cycles.
The user wants to create a Picklist for this W/O. Since the P/N Control's Actuals (80,001) do not exceed the P/N Control Schedule for this A/C (120,000), the Picklist Creation process is successful.
Switch Set to No When set to No, the schedule of a P/N Control will not be validated against actuals in the P/N Inventory Control at the reservation process, and/or issuing process.
In this example, the user has created a P/N Control with a schedule for A/C N591JB that is set to 80,000 cycles. Currently, the part in Inventory has accumulated 80,001 cycles. Note that this exceeds the P/N Control's schedule's set cycles (80,000).

Even though the P/N Control Actuals exceed the P/N Control schedule, the system still allows for the creation of the picklist.
