AUTOREORDFORMNOTAC - Formula Specific To Reorder Levels That Calculates The Requisition or PO Order QuantityFormula Specific To Reorder Levels That Calculates The Requisition or PO Order Quantity Affected Window: w_inventory_transaction_sel
For this Switch to have functionality, Switch
Switch Set to Yes: When set to Yes and the Reorder function is initiated, TRAX will take the sum of the following: Available Quantity, Reserved Quantity, Pending R/I, and 'Open' status P/O quantities for the specific location, yet ignores existing Requisition quantities, and subtract this sum from the P/N Inventory Level 'Max' stock quantity entered and use the end result as the Required Quantity on a Requisition. The concluding value must be a positive number and less than or equal to the P/N Reorder Level.
For the following example, in the P/N Inventory Level window, enter the specified location in the Location field and enter the Stock and Order part quantities for P/N '4578-1.' The Stock Maximum is set to '10' and the Reorder Level is set to '6.'
For the following 'ATL' Location, P/N '4578-1' has '0' parts available and '5' parts in Reserve.
Notice that P/N '4578-1' also has two open requisitions, one with a status of 'OPEN' and the other with a status of 'ORDER.'
Return to the Inventory Transaction window and perform an adjustment to part quantities for inventory location 'ATL.' The system issues out a Requisition with a Required Quantity of '5' rather than the Reorder Level of '6.' This is due to the formula that is triggered when Switch
Calculation Breakdown: The Available Quantity was '0' The Reserved Quantity was '5' The 'Open status Requisition Quantity was '1' The 'Order status Requisition Quantity '1' 0 + 5 = 5 This is the sum of the aforementioned quantities, but ignoring the existing Requisitions. The sum must now be subtracted from the Maximum Stock Quantity of '10.' 10 - 5 = 5, which is a positive number and less than or equal to the Reorder Level of 6. Therefore, in the Requisition print, the Required Quantity is 5, and not the specified Reorder Level.
Switch Set to No: When set to No, the functionality of Switch
In the P/N Inventory Level window, enter the specified location in the Location field and enter the Stock and Order part quantities for P/N '4578-1.' The Stock Maximum is set to '10' and the Reorder Level is set to '6.'
For the following 'ATL' location, P/N '4578-1' has '0' parts available and '4' parts in Reserve.
Note that P/N '4578-1' also has two open requisitions, one with a status of 'OPEN' and the other with a status of 'ORDER.'
Return to the Inventory Transaction window and perform an adjustment to part quantities for inventory location 'ATL.' The system issues out a Requisition with a Required Quantity of '4.' This is due to the formula that is triggered when Switch
Calculation Breakdown: The Available Quantity was '0' The Reserved Quantity was '4' The 'Open' status Requisition Quantity was '1' The 'Order' status Requisition Quantity was '1' 0 + 4 + 1 + 1 = 6 this is the sum of the aforementioned quantities. The sum must now be subtracted from the Maximum Stock Quantity of '10.' 10 - 6 = 4 which is a positive number and less than or equal to the Reorder Level of 6. Therefore, in the Requisition print, the Required Quantity is 4 and not the specified Reorder Level.
